India-Myanmar relations have a very long and chequered history, however the relation between the two have remarkably improved since Myanmar have started on the process of its economic,political and social reforms.With this remarkable shift, India's new orientation towards the country is not only conceivable but also absolutely necessary. Therefore this paper looks at the three most important areas of cooperation that has the potential to further integrate the two countries. These areas includes-Trade and Commerce, Connectivity Cooperation and Human Development Programmes. The paper is spread across the above mentioned areas of cooperation and examines in details the cooperation that is taking place between the countries along with the necessary implications that it can have. The paper concludes with some of the challenges that can hinder the cooperation between the two countries.
