Title

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES: A CASE-BASED ANALYSIS OF SUSTAINABLE AND ETHICAL CORPORATE STRATEGIES

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethical business practices have become central to modern corporate strategies, influencing brand reputation, consumer trust, and long-term sustainability. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of CSR and ethical business practices through case studies of leading corporations. It explores key theories, including the Triple Bottom Line, Stakeholder Theory, and Ethical Decision-Making Models, while also considering the legal and regulatory frameworks guiding corporate ethics. The study examines five corporate cases: Patagonia’s environmental responsibility, Nike’s supply chain transformation, Tesla’s green business strategies, Microsoft’s philanthropic initiatives, and Volkswagen’s emissions scandal. Each case highlights the challenges, strategies, and impacts of CSR implementation. Through comparative analysis, the study identifies common patterns, industry-specific approaches, and ethical challenges faced by businesses. The findings emphasize that CSR is not merely a compliance requirement but a strategic advantage fostering sustainable growth and stakeholder trust. The study concludes with practical implications for businesses, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the need for transparency, ethical leadership, and proactive CSR integration. It also identifies gaps in current research and suggests areas for future studies, particularly in measuring long-term economic benefits and consumer perceptions of CSR initiatives.
