Abstract: Period 2005-10 was the time when the global meltdown affected the economies of several countries including those in Europe and North America. But even during this period, few Indian sick organisations, both under public sector and private sector, were getting turned around. Top world economists, industrial consultants, management training centers, and research scholars under different Universities are still studying and analyzing their success stories. A lot of aspects were there behind the excellent accomplishment of many industrial enterprises and similarly, the reasons for disaster were many. Financial performance resulting in losses and characteristics of sickness varied from enterprise to enterprise. This article narrates the success stories, failure stories, and turnaround stories of few great companies.
