A study was conducted “to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding blood donation among the general public in a selected hospital in Delhi”. A quantitative approach was adopted for the study using descriptive survey design. Structured knowledge questionnaire and attitude scale was developed and validated by nine experts practicing community health, medical surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrical nursing faculty.Conceptual framework for this study was developed based on Orem’s self-care deficit theory by Dorothea Orem. Pilot study was conducted to ascertain feasibility of the study and Final data was collected from out patient department, blood bank and waiting area at St. Stephen Hospital, College of Nursing, Tis Hazari, Delhi.
