The primary goal of the evaluation is to examine how different waste management practises are currently being used and what steps are being taken to recycle waste and ensure a healthy living environment for current and future generations. Another goal is to offer some ideas and recommendations to enhance the waste management procedures in Indian villages and cities by defining waste, classifying it, and outlining potential recycling options. This study is based on secondary research using reports from environmental organizations that are already in existence, peer-reviewed publications about waste management, and suggestions for system improvement from planners, NGOs, consultants, government accountability agencies, and important industry specialists. It was discovered that the definition of waste is mostly subjective because a material is only considered wasteful if its owner designates it as such. This is especially true since different people may see the same substance as a resource or as waste; it also provides in-depth information about India's numerous waste management programmers and identifies areas where waste management can be improved for the benefit of society. This investigation aims to comprehend the significant influence that our nation's formal sector plays in trash management.
