This article conducts a comparative analysis of the justice systems utilized by the Nagas and the Indian legal framework, with a specific focus on offenses such as rape, domestic violence, kidnapping, and criminal defamation. Divided into three sections, the first segment delves into the legal foundations governing Naga Customary Law, juxtaposed with the Indian Legal system. It explores principles, regulations, and statutes shaping criminal justice practices in both systems. The second section investigates the modes of punishment sanctioned by Naga Customary Law and the Indian Legal system, examining principles guiding penalty imposition. The final section identifies and analyzes potential conflicts between Naga Customary Law and the Indian Legal System, offering insights into challenges and possible avenues for harmonization. This nuanced exploration provides a deeper understanding of the similarities, differences, and potential conflicts between these distinct legal frameworks
