DEPRESSION LEVELS AMONG PROFESSIONAL AND NON PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS IN RELATION TO GENDER AND LOCALITY

Abstract
The present investigation was made to assess the level of depression among professional and non-professional students. A sample of 50 professional and 50 non-professional students, with equal number of male and female students were selected randomly. The sample was administered depression scale designed by Karim and Tiwari (1986). The results revealed that there was a significant difference between professional and non professional students with regard to their level of depression.
