The Data extracted from every single image undergoes the Data Mining process and is used to create a dataset. This dataset is further used for the processing of the data to determine the pattern observed in the data. The images within the desired application rarely contain data as desired by the analyst. For example, in Satellite Image Processing the amount of Noise present in the Image could be high and needs to be reduced before extracting data. In Bio-Medical Imaging the images retrieved from various methodologies might have Low Contrast and Color Variations. These are solved by the first step in Image Processing before Data Extraction known as the Preprocessing. This paper aims at comparing the various Preprocessing Techniques.
