Title

AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF GREEN HRM PRACTICES AND EMPLOYEE JOB SATISFACTION IN IT SECTOR

Abstract

This empirical study aims to enter the practice of Gardens of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) in the Information Technology (IT) sector and examine its relationship to employee job satisfaction. This research highlights the importance of integrating environmental issues into HR strategy and looks at a piece of the puzzle, as there is a lack of empirical investigations in this area. This study aims to identify the current state of GHRM practices in the IT sector, measure the level of adoption of these practices among employees, and evaluate their impact on employee job satisfaction. The research methodology integrates a mixed methods approach that is a combination of quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to ensure that we collect complete data. Through rigorous analysis of the type of GHRM practice in organizational culture, leadership styles, industry dynamics and legal frameworks, the study will reveal patterns and interdependencies. This approach also identifies employees' ideas and reveals their attitude, commitment, motivation and perception of sustainable behaviour and integration of GHRM practices. By discovering study results that provide some empirical evidence that GHRM functions are able to increase employee job satisfaction in the IT industry, the research could be another important link to add to the existing literature. Nevertheless, it attempts to close a gap in existing research, e.g., the lack of standardized metrics for evaluation or in longitudinal studies, and to provide valuable information for both academics and practitioners, which is essential for the development of sustainable HR strategies. Finally, this research aims to offer a better understanding of the relationship between environmental sustainability initiatives, HRM approaches and employee satisfaction, which can help make smarter decisions and set a greener and more attractive workplace culture in the IT industry.
