Abstract

Digital globalization is defined as the state of a digital form of globalization that connects nations, industries, companies, and individuals around the world through flows of data, information, ideas and knowledge, and through flows of goods, services, investment, and capital that are digitally enabled or supported and Digital initiatives: The government has launched several digital initiatives, such as the Digital India program. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India launched the 'Digital India' Programme with the vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge-based economy by ensuring digital access, digital inclusion, digital empowerment and bridging the digital divide. More and more recent research claims that digital globalization is a new form of globalization and that it would bring relevant changes to the way business is conducted. Digital globalization is increasing global economic, financial and social connections through digital platforms as data and information grow. Digitalization has also significantly impacted the financial sector, facilitating online transactions. Adopting digital financial services has helped bring more people into the formal banking sector, improving financial inclusion and driving economic growth. The digital economy can reduce the cost of key factors, exert the network radiation effect, improve the allocation efficiency of production factors, and ultimately improve the efficiency of regional resource allocation. The digital economy's contribution to India's GDP has increased from 4-4.5% of the GDP in 2014 to 11%, and is expected to cross 20% by 2026, the ministry said.
