Title

Drone Imagery Analysis to Help Increase Soybean Yield in Wake of Climate Change

Abstract

Soybean cultivation faces mounting challenges due to the escalating impacts of climate change on agricultural systems. As climate variability intensifies, soybean farmers are confronted with shifting weather patterns, increased frequency of extreme events, and alterations in pest and disease dynamics, all of which threaten crop productivity and food security. In this context, the integration of drone imagery analysis emerges as a promising solution to bolster soybean yield and resilience in the face of climate change. Drones equipped with high-resolution cameras and sensors offer unprecedented capabilities for monitoring crop health, assessing environmental conditions, and optimizing agronomic practices with unparalleled precision. This review paper examines the potential of drone imagery analysis to revolutionize soybean farming, exploring its applications in precision agriculture, pest and disease management, irrigation optimization, and yield estimation. Drawing upon a comprehensive synthesis of existing literature and research findings, this paper elucidates the benefits, challenges, and future prospects of leveraging drone technology to increase soybean yield amidst climate change. Through critical analysis and identification of research gaps, this review aims to guide future research directions and inform the adoption of drone imagery analysis as a transformative tool in sustainable soybean production systems.
