Title

Simulation Based Study On ETAP Of 132/33/11/0.415 KV Substation For Arc Flash Analysis

Abstract

In a 132/33/11/0.415 KV substation, this study examines the use of ETAP software for arc flash analysis . Using transformers, breakers, and cables as well as other essential system components, a simulated substation model is created in ETAP. The ETAP’s short-circuit analysis feature is used to find the fault currents at different substation locations. The IEEE 1584 standard is used to assess the arc flash incident energy and arc flash PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements based on the computed fault currents. The analysis makes important observations about possible arc flash hazards at the substation and makes it easier to put the right safety measures in place to lessen the risks.
