Title

Stability studies on serine alkaline protease isolated from a selected species of Bacillus collected from soil samples of a millk plant

Abstract

Microbial proteases are a good source of enzymes because of rapid growth rate and easy culture in limited space. Bacterial proteases account for 40 % of the total worldwide sale of enzymes. Isolation of potential protease producing strain, Bacillus cereus and characterisation of the enzyme for industrial application were performed in the present study. Stability studies confirmed the alkaline nature of serine protease. Serine alkaline proteases are resistant to a wide range of change in temperature as well as pH.
