STUDY ON THE ROLE OF LEADERSHIP IN ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE IN BPO INDUSTRY ACCENTURE

Abstract

In today's dynamic business landscape, organizational change has become imperative for companies to remain competitive and adapt to evolving market demands. The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, characterized by rapid technological advancements and shifting client expectations, is particularly susceptible to change. Amidst these transformations, leadership plays a crucial role in guiding organizations through the process of change. This study explores the pivotal role of leadership in driving and managing organizational change within Accenture, a leading global player in the BPO industry. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks of change management and leadership theories, as well as empirical evidence from Accenture's practices, this study aims to provide insights into how effective leadership fosters successful organizational change. Firstly, It examines the significance of visionary leadership in articulating a compelling change vision and aligning it with organizational objectives. Leaders at Accenture are expected to communicate the rationale behind change initiatives, inspire employees, and garner support for implementation efforts. Secondly, the study delves into the role of transformational leadership in fostering a culture of innovation and resilience amidst change. Accenture's leaders are tasked with empowering employees, promoting collaboration, and fostering a mindset conducive to continuous improvement. Additionally, the study highlights the challenges faced by leaders in navigating organizational change within the BPO industry, such as technological disruptions, talent retention, and global market dynamics. Effective leadership is critical in addressing these challenges and steering the organization towards sustainable growth and competitiveness.
