The many diseases that afflict dogs in non-governmental organisation (NGO) facilities are examined in detail in this survey study, with an emphasis on the diseases' clinical care, epidemiology, and successful preventive measures. This paper identifies the most common canine diseases, such as parvovirus, distemper, rabies, and numerous parasite infections, by analysing a wide range of NGO-operated dog shelters across different climatic zones. Veterinarian personnel and facility managers' interviews, veterinary records, and facility reports were all used to gather data. Significant differences in illness occurrence are found, and these differences are correlated with location, institution size, and management style. The study underlines the need for customised health management procedures and points out a significant weakness in current preventive efforts. Improvements to immunisation programmes, routine health checks, and staff training programmes are among the better disease prevention techniques that are suggested. By decreasing the occurrence and consequences of common canine diseases, this report seeks to support non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in their efforts to improve the health and well-being of the dogs under their care.
