Background: Anemia remains a major nutritional-related health concern for women in developing nations like India. Objective: To assess the prevalence of anemia among women. Methods: Descriptive survey design was used and 90 women were selected by using Non-probability purposive sampling technique. Hb estimation was done using cyanmethemoglobin method. Results: 71% of subjects had normal haemoglobin level. 29% had anemia, wherein very few (1%, 2%) had severe and very severe anemia. Conclusion: The current study reveals that in spite of various efforts by Government of India, anemia still continues to be a major public health concern.
