The main purpose of maintenance in an industrial perspective is to reduce the business risks. The scope to improve Plant availability is one of the greatest opportunities in creating value. The study describes various types of equipment and process failures and causes. Liberalization and global competitiveness have come as a further challenge to the industry for achieving high productivity, Product quality, Shorter lead and delivery time, overall reliability, Consistency and economy. The scope of this dissertation work is to examines gap in the system and Improving Plant OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and Equipment Availability by using Predictive Equipment, to provide a background for the study and analysis, we will first discuss the manufacturing process and OEE, determining the cause of Equipment breakdown.
