Title

A REVIEW PAPER ON DOWNSCALING OF CLIMATIC VARIABLE BY USING MULTIPLE LINEAR REGRESSION

Abstract

This study reviews some of the general study on the Climate change has been emerging as one of the major challenges in the global environment. Changes in climate would lead to greater negative impacts on natural and human systems. Continued emissions of greenhouse gases would further amplify the existing risks and create new risks for people and ecosystems.To analyze the possible impacts of climate change in a river basin it is required to predict the future climate changes. This ultimately will be helpful while planning and management of water resources in the basin. Effective decision making to throttle climate change and its risks can informed by broad range of analytical and mathematical approaches for predicting the changes. General Circulation Models (GCM’s) are one of the most credible tools available today for modeling the climate change. To synthesize the future temperature and precipitation scenarios adopting statistical downscaling approaches such as Multiple Linear Regression (MLR).
