Title

A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON STUDENT PERCEPTION TOWARDS TRADITIONAL LEARNING VS E-LEARNING WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO AMRAVATI CITY.

Abstract

The aim of this research paper is to compare and contrast the methods of traditional learning in the classroom with E-Learning. The topic emerged from considerations of the continuous growth of technology and the consequent need for changes in learning and teaching methods. The outbreak of COVID-19 significantly impacted the educational system worldwide, resulting in the closure of educational institutions and a massive disruption to teaching and learning professions globally. The infectious nature of COVID-19 necessitated containment measures and imposed isolation, greatly affecting personal interactions between teachers and students. With the absence of traditional classroom teaching and face-to-face interactions, computer-based learning (E-learning) emerged as the closest substitute for traditional learning. This paper aims to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of these learning methods. Traditional learning involves a physical setting, such as a classroom, with interactions between students and teachers, while E-Learning takes place in a virtual space with servers and web browsing interfaces, facilitated through communication networks. A survey was conducted to gather data on learning methods, which was then analysed using data visualization techniques.
