Malware detection is a critical component of Cybersecurity, aiming to identify and mitigate malicious software threats. Traditional signature-based approaches often fail to detect novel or polymorphic malware variants. Machine learning techniques offer a promising solution by learning patterns from data to distinguish between malicious and benign software. This abstract outline the design and implementation of a malware detection system utilizing machine learning algorithms, The system collects features from various sources, pre-processes the data, selects relevant features, and trains models. The trained models are deployed in real-world scenarios, with periodic updates and maintenance to adapt to evolving malware threats. This system demonstrates the efficacy of machine learning in enhancing malware detection capabilities and contributes to the ongoing efforts to bolster Cybersecurity defenses.
